Outdoor recreational activities which include fishing, mountain biking, picnicking and water sports. Located nine miles west of Concrete, Washington, Rasar State Park was created in 1984 through a 128-acre land grant from the Daniel Rasar family and was expanded by an additional 40 acres in 1990. The campground and facilities of the park were constructed from 1993 to 1997. Located on the Skagit River's shoreline near Concrete, Rasar State Park is a fabulous place to explore the beauty of northern Washington. Bring along a blanket and lay in the grassy meadows to watch the eagles soaring overhead, especially in the fall. Over 4,000 feet of shoreline is available for freshwater fishing. We spent three days here with our three dogs. There are plenty of hiking trails from old growth forest to meadow to sandy beach along the Skagit River. There is an ADA trail. The trails are well maintained and well marked with nice signage. The river is easy to get too and the banks are nice sand.
